You will find the plant catalogue section easy to use.
Just Plant Catalogue on the main menu bar (above right), choose your plant option and add your requests to your shopping cart.
Once you have made your selection and continued through into the shopping cart you will have the opportunity to add or delete quantities.
Continue on to the section where you will be asked to complete your address and freighting instructions.
We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards and these will not be processed until your order is packed and the freight content is known.
An invoice will be posted as soon as the plants are sent detailing your plant list and freight reference numbers and your Credit Card receipt.
If you do not receive your order within 5 days we suggest you contact the freight company concerned (Fastways or Toll Tranzlink) and quote the number on the invoice or phone us for more help.

| I hear you grow some Standardised rhododendrons, where do I order these and can they be freighted easily? |
 We are very proud of our Standardised rhododendrons which can be found at the top of the catalogue section. We are experts in packing plants and Standards along with other plants can be freighted to any destination in New Zealand. |
| How do you pack your plants so they arrive in good condition? |
| We use cardboard cartons reinforced with timber, so the chance of crushing or the bottom falling out of the carton, is reduced. Rhododendrons are very special plants and we consider a little extra attention to packaging is worthwhile. Freight companies rate our packaging very highly. Please do not try to pull your plants out of the cartons - cut the carton away from the plants. |
| Do I receive confirmation of my order? |
You will receive an automated email immediately and further contact from Margaret if required.

| I have indicated that I am interested in advanced specimen plants, will I be contacted re my selection. |
After receiving an equiry we will email a photo of the advanced specimen plant along with its description, available size and the price including the approximate freight cost.

| If any of my selected varieties are sold out for this season can they be left on order. |
Yes, we will carry forward any varieties you wish. Margaret will contact you to discuss this option if any of your selection is unavailable.

Yes, please send us a separate email at the same time you place your order, if you'd like substitutes for varieties that are sold out for this season. We will contact you to make sure we can get as close as possible to your wishes.

| I have a new garden to plant, can anyone at Cross Hills help with my plant selection and plant placement? |
Yes, Rodney is very happy to help with plant placement and selection. Please bring your plans with you and or make some sketches and take some measurements. Better still take photos.

| When can I collect/buy plants direct from the Nursery? |
June to November seven days 10.30am - 5pm. (N.B.) Because our plants are field grown, a lack of soil moisture some years in the month of May can delay our digging. We suggest you phone in advance before visiting the Plant Centre in June.

As varieties sell out, their page in the online catalogue is put on hold till next season. Please send us an email signalling your request and then Margaret will be in touch to confirm if the plants will be available next season or beyond.

| At what stage would you process my Credit Card? |
| Your card will not be debited until the plants are ready for despatch when the freight costs are known. |
